Since mid-2016, more student loan borrowers are now using Income Drive Repayment (IDR) methods than traditional loan repayment methods. This shift in loan repayment shift the playing field from interest rates and terms to properly managing a clients AGI. With special guest Speaker Fred Amrien 

    Fred Amrein is the founding principal of Amrein Financial and College Affordability LLC. Fred earned an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in Accounting and Marketing from St. Joseph’s University. He attained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr.
    Mr. Amrein is the author of the book, “Financial Aid and Beyond: Secrets to College Affordability”. He has also developed Pay For ED software which includes 3 solutions to help families before, during and after college. Pay For ED software can help families analyze college costs, financing options and student loan repayment. The three software solution are College Cost Analyzer, In-College Payer and the Student Loan Repayer. Fred also developed the College Funding & Student Loan Advisor (CFSLA) course to help financial advisors add college funding and student loan repayment into their practice.
    He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week and other national publications. In addition, he appears on various media programs speaking about personal financial topics, mostly educational funding and student loan repayment issues. Fred is also involved with student financial literacy programs.
    Professionally, he was a board member of the National College Advocacy Group (NCAG) and a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He has established a reputation as a college funding expert with both the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and Independent Educational Counselor Association (IECA). Both organizations are leading professional membership groups in the college decision consulting process.
    On a personal level he has been married for 32 to his college sweetheart. Fred has three daughters who have all graduated from college on time and were employed in the major that they studied in college. His family’s experience included school changes, academic major changes and one being a student athlete. He enjoys golf and tennis along with spending time with family and friends.
