Session 1 PSERS Update

Glenn Grell, Executive Director, Public School Employees' Retirement System

Mr. Grell will cover the history and structure of PSERS.  The system recently  underwent a historical structural change.   PSERS now provides two new hybrid options which include both defined benefit and defined contribution components to new members.  A standalone defined contribution plan is also offered.  Mr Grell will also explain the current funding status of the System.

Mr. James Grossman, Jr.,  PSERS Chief Invesment Officer, will then give a detailed presentation on PSERS investments,  including strategic asset allocation, performance, liquidity, stress testing, and asset liability analysis.  

Session 2: Muhammad Gazi, CFA, Product Specialist - Institutional Access Credit Fund, Griffin Capital   

What is alternative credit and why invest in alternative credit? What drives alternative credit returns? 4 benefits of alternative credit to a portfolio.  How do institutions look at alternative credit? Timing and alternative credit plus an introduction to interval funds.
